Who processes your information
RG Financial Services Limited, trading as RG Financial Services, is an appointed representative of HL Partnership Limited. RG Financial uses your information to provide mortgage and protection advice. HL Partnership may use it to supervise that advice, meet regulatory duties and maintain required records.
Information that may be collected
This can include contact and identity details, address history, family and personal circumstances, income and expenditure, employment or business information, debts and credit commitments, property details, legal proceedings, adverse credit, existing policies and health information where relevant to protection advice.
Why the information is used
Information may be used to respond to an enquiry; understand your needs; research, recommend and arrange products; administer applications; provide ongoing service; meet legal and regulatory duties; prevent fraud and financial crime; review advice quality; handle complaints; and establish or defend legal claims.
The lawful basis depends on the activity and may include taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and legitimate interests in operating and supervising the service. Where special-category information such as health data is required, you will be told how it will be used and the condition relied on before it is collected.
Who information may be shared with
Depending on the service, information may be shared with HL Partnership, lenders, insurers, product providers, identity and fraud-prevention services, valuers, conveyancers or other professional advisers where instructed, regulators, law-enforcement bodies and technology suppliers operating under appropriate contractual safeguards.
International processing
If a supplier processes information outside the United Kingdom, appropriate safeguards must be used as required by UK data-protection law. You can ask for further information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
How long information is kept
Records are kept in line with the retention requirements that apply to RG Financial Services and HL Partnership. The period depends on the service and type of record. You can ask HL Partnership’s Data Protection Officer how long a particular record will be retained.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your information, correct incomplete or inaccurate information, restrict processing, object to processing, request erasure where the information does not need to be retained, and receive certain information in a portable format. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.
Marketing choices
You can ask RG Financial Services to stop sending marketing communications at any time. Service and regulatory communications about an existing relationship may still be sent where required.
Protecting financial information
Do not send identification, bank statements, medical information or other sensitive documents by ordinary email or WhatsApp. Rahul will confirm the approved secure method. Always verify payment requests using a trusted telephone number before transferring money.
